The Kehrli or Kerli family has been in the Haslital since 1303 at the latest .

history

The family name first appears in a document in 1303 in the Hasli valley, which belongs to the empire . Desolations in the Haslital caused by natural disasters caused the inhabitants of many villages that no longer exist to migrate in the 14th and 15th centuries. Perhaps these circumstances have led to the fact that bearers of the Kerli family name also appeared elsewhere, while the most numerous bearers of the name can be found today in Oberhasli and Brienz.
