Keiko Ai

Keiko Ai ( Japanese 阿 井 景 子 , Ai Keiko ; real name: Ura Junko ( 浦 順子 ); born January 16, 1932 in Nagasaki Prefecture ) is a Japanese writer .

Life

After graduating from the Pedagogical Faculty of Saga University , she worked for a short time as a teacher in a high school. She immediately gave up this work and moved to Tokyo , where she wrote orally communicated notes to Kitaōji Rozanjin . She worked as an editor and journalist for the weekly magazine Josei Jisei ( 女性 自身 ), which is published by the Kobunsha publishing house . In 1971 she published for the first time under her real name. Five years later she made her debut as a writer with Ryūma no tsuma ( 龍馬 の 妻 ). The subject of her writing were women in the environment of historical personalities, such as the samurai Sakamoto Ryōma .

From 1991 on she wrote many contributions for the dorama series Taiga Drama ( 大河 ド ラ マ ) of the NHK .
