Keith Schembri

Keith Schembri (* 1975 in Cospicua ) is a Maltese entrepreneur and politician from the Partit Laburista .

Life

Schembri is the founder and owner of the Maltese company Kasco Holding . From March 2013 to November 2019 he was Chief of Staff of the Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and organized his election campaign. In 2016 his name was published on a list of the Panama Papers . After the murder of the Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia , an international journalist group was formed to follow up the work of Galizia. As a result of this research by journalists, Schembri resigned as Muscat's chief of staff on November 26, 2019. He was arrested the same day and released from custody two days later.
