Kelana Jaya Line
The Kelana Jaya Line is a light rail system transit line in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur , which is computer-controlled, i.e. without a train driver. The railways started operating on September 1, 1998. The system is also known under its former name PUTRA LRT or PUTRA Line LRT .
The Kelana Jaya Line runs a single 29-kilometer route, making it the third largest driverless light rail system in the world. The two-part trains supplied by Bombardier run on a largely elevated route with two lanes over the entire length. The roadway runs underground between the Damai and Pasar seni stops .
