Kelz (Lana)

Kelz is a listed farm in Lana ( South Tyrol ).

As early as 1379 the farm was owned by the Augustinian canons of Rottenbuch and served as a wine supplier. The Baumann at that time was called Anton. Later names were Thönighof, Tenighof, Thanighof. Since 1574 Hans Kellß, 1592 Kelzenhof. The farm remained in the possession of the monastery until secularization in Bavaria in 1803. After several changes of ownership, it was bought by the Lananer veterinarian Johann Gögele in the 1860s. He had the courtyard rebuilt. He was followed by his son Josef, who died in 1907. From the 1910s the farm was owned by the Kröss family. It is still used as a farm today.

On the street side, the building ends with a crenellated wreath, on the south side of the house a flight of stairs leads to the first floor. You can also see a sundial, marked 1619 with two coats of arms.
