Jerreley Zanian John Slijger (born May 4, 1988 in Helmond ), stage name Kempi , is a Dutch rapper from Eindhoven . He is currently under contract with the TopNotch label .

life and career

Kempi grew up in the Woensel-West district of Eindhoven. There he came into contact with the criminal milieu early on and committed various crimes. In September 2006 he got a record deal with the Dutch label TopNotch. In June 2008, he was sentenced to 12 months in prison. He then released various mix tapes and in July 2008 his debut album Du Zoon , which reached number 7 in the Dutch charts. He then released his fourth mixtape Mixtape 3.2: You Evolutie Van 'N Nigga . At the end of March 2010 his latest mixtape Du Gangsta Tape was released .

Slijger is the father of two children.

Musical style

Kempi does Dutch gangsta rap . Various American influences cannot be dismissed out of hand. Features with the American artists Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and The Outlawz are worth mentioning in this context . Linguistically, his texts are influenced by Creole.
