Ken Hammock
Ken Hammock is an American country and rockabilly musician and guitarist.
After Hammock played for a while in Clyde Grubb's Tennessee Valley Boys, he formed his own band, the Tennessee Valley Gang , in 1949 . In addition to Hammock, this group consisted of HJ Keck ( guitar and fiddle ), Ray West (guitar), Jimmy Fisher ('hot guitar'), Jimmie Brewer (guitar) and Johnnie Brewer ( bass ). But it wasn't until August 1958 that Starday released his first single. Shortly afterwards, in November, the rockabilly single Blue Guitar Jump followed , on which Hammock himself plays lead guitar. Both singles were recorded with the Tennessee Valley Gang.
