Ken Ishii ( Jap. ケン·イシイ * 1970 in Sapporo ) is a successful Techno - DJ and - Producer of Tokyo . He is also known by the pseudonyms FLR, Flare, Rising Sun, UTU and Yoga.

Career

Ken Ishii, heavily influenced by Detroit techno , had his first releases in 1993, including on Richie Hawtin's label Plus 8 . His 1995 album Jelly Tones ranks 61st on Rolling Stone Japan's “100 Greatest Japanese Rock Albums of All Time” .

In 1996, the clip created by the well-known anime artist Kōji Morimoto ( Akira ) for his Track Extra was voted MTV Dance Video of The Year . Garden on the Palm was added to The Wire's “100 Records That Set The World On Fire (While No One Was Listening)” list.
