Kenneth Woolmer, Baron Woolmer of Leeds
Kenneth John Woolmer, Baron Woolmer of Leeds (born April 25, 1940 ) is a British Labor Party politician .
Career
Woolmer was elected a Member of the House of Commons in 1979 for the Batley and Morley District. For the 1983 election, the circles were changed, whereupon Woolmer ran for the new Batley and Span county , but Elizabeth Peacock of the Tories was defeated. He was promoted to Life Peer on July 3, 1999 with the title Baron Woolmer of Leeds , of Leeds in the County of West Yorkshire .
