René Bertram

René Bertram (born July 21, 1981 in Magdeburg ) is a German scull rower . In 2002 he won the world title with the double foursome .

René Bertram starts for the rowing club Magdeburg in SC Magdeburg . After Bertram had already become world champion with the four-four in the age group of the under 23-year-olds, he won the gold medal at his first start in the world championship in the adult class. In Seville, the boat won in the line-up of Stephan Volkert , René Bertram, Marco Geisler and Robert Sens . The following year, Bertram only went to the World Championships in Milan as a substitute. At the 2004 Olympic Games , Bertram and Christian Schreiber competed in a double scull , but only reached the B final. Only in 2007 did Bertram win another medal. At the World Championships in Munich he reached third place with Karsten Brodowski , Hans Gruhne and Robert Sens. Most recently he finished fourth at the DRV small boat inspection in Cologne together with his two-man partner Florian Eichner and is therefore safe in the national team at the next World Cup in Munich in 2010.

René Bertram is a sports scientist in the field of health and rehabilitation sports.
