Andrea Panizza

Andrea Panizza (born July 14, 1998 in Lecco ) is an Italian rower .

Panizza finished fourth at the Junior World Championships in 2015 with eighth place . In 2016 he won bronze with Marcello Caldonazzo in a double scull at the European Junior Championships. At the Junior World Championships in 2016 , Panizza won the title in four-man with helmsman .

At the 2017 European Championships , the Italian double scull with Romano Battisti , Andrea Panizza, Giacomo Gentili and Emanuele Fiume won bronze behind the boats from Lithuania and Poland. At the end of July 2017, the Italians and Gergo Cziraki won bronze for Battisti at the U23 World Championships . Battisti, Panizza, Gentili and Fiume took twelfth place at the world championships in the adult class. In 2018, Panizza and Gentili formed the new Italian double four with Filippo Mondelli and Luca Rambaldi . This crew won the title at the European Championships before the Lithuanians and the Poles. At the World Championships, the Italians won ahead of the Australians and the Ukrainians. The following year, the four Italians behind the boat from the Netherlands won the silver medal at the 2019 European Championships in Lucerne. At the World Championships in Linz, the Italians won the bronze medal behind the Dutch and the Poles.
