Oleksandr Nadtoka

Oleksandr Oleksandrowytsch Nadtoka ( Ukrainian Олександр Олександрович Надтока ; born March 6, 1991 in Zaporizhia , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Ukrainian rower .

Nadtoka started rowing in 2005. In 2008 he took part in the four-four at the Junior World Championships , but only reached the C-final; In 2009 he finished fifth in the single . In 2010 he took part in the U23 World Championships and won the bronze medal in the four-four together with Iwan Yurtschenko, Iwan Futryk and Iwan Dowhodko . The following year, the Ukrainian four-four won the U23 title with Jurij Ivanov , Futryk, Nadtoka and Dowhodko. Nadtoka was the only one to row out of the U23 double quad in 2011 in the adult class in the double quad, at the world championships he took eleventh place and at the European championships the boat reached fifth place. In 2012 the Ukrainian four-four won the U23 title with Andrij Mikhailow, Artem Werestjuk, Anton Bondarenko and Olexander Nadtoka. At the European Championships in 2012 , the Estonian quadruple won, three seconds behind Ivanov, Futryk, Nadtoka and Dowhodko received the silver medal.

In 2013 Dmytro Michai rowed for Jurij Ivanov in the double foursome at the European Championships and finished fourth together with Futryk, Nadtoka and Dowhodko. At the 2013 World Championships , the Ukrainian quadruple competed for the first time in the line-up of Dmytro Michai, Artem Morosow , Olexander Nadtoka and Iwan Dowhodko and, as fourth-placed boat, missed the medal ranks by just half a second. In the same line-up, the Ukrainian four-four won the 2014 European Championships in Belgrade with 0.27 seconds ahead of the British boat. The decision at the World Championships in Amsterdam was even tighter , in the world best time of 5: 32.26 minutes the Ukrainians won 0.09 seconds ahead of the British. In 2015, the Russian double scull won the European Championships ahead of the Ukrainians and the British. At the 2015 World Championships , the Ukrainians missed the A final and were able to qualify directly for the 2016 Olympic Games with second place in the B final with a 0.05 second lead over the New Zealanders. At the European Championships in 2016 , the Ukrainian double quad finished sixth. The Ukrainians also took sixth place at the 2016 Olympic Games .

In 2017, Nadtoka rowed a double scull to ninth place at the European Championships and eighth to ninth place at the World Championships . In 2018 he returned to the double fours. Together with Dmytro Michai, Serhij Hryn and Iwan Dowhodko he reached fourth place at the European Championships . A month and a half later, the Ukrainian double- scull won bronze at the World Championships in Plovdiv, behind the Italians and the Australians.
