Filippo Mondelli

Filippo Mondelli (born June 18, 1994 in Como ) is an Italian rower .

Mondelli was fifth in the four-man with helmsman at the Junior World Championships in 2012 . In 2014 he finished eleventh with the Italian eighth at the European Championships in the adult class . At the U23 World Championships , he came in fifth with the Italian eighth. In 2015 he won gold in a four with helmsman at the U23 World Championships, in 2016 he received silver in the same boat class.

In 2017 he won gold with Luca Rambaldi in double sculls at the European Championships . At the world championships, the two won bronze behind the boats from New Zealand and Poland. In 2018, Mondelli and Rambaldi formed a double four with Andrea Panizza and Giacomo Gentili . This crew won the title at the European Championships before the Lithuanians and the Poles. At the World Championships, the Italians won ahead of the Australians and the Ukrainians. The following year, the four Italians behind the boat from the Netherlands won the silver medal at the 2019 European Championships in Lucerne. At the World Championships in Linz, the Italians won the bronze medal behind the Dutch and the Poles.

Filippo Mondelli starts for Fiamme Gialle , the sports department of the Guardia di Finanza .
