The Kennis twins Adrie and Alfons are two Dutch artists who are leaders in paleontology - reconstruction of human bones. Their exhibits are in numerous European museums , e.g. B. a dozen in the Neanderthal Museum in Mettmann .

Career

Both of the brothers, who now live in Arnhem , trained as art teachers , but found no employment. After creating the illustrations for the book De Oermens (The Primordial Man) , they were allowed to design images for National Geographic . Then came inquiries from museums, which also resulted in plastic works. There are now models of them in museums from Aarhus to Gibraltar . Through intensive ethnic and anatomical studies, the brothers created differentiated models of prehistoric people who also stood out from the mainstream through facial expressions and posture. In addition to the nudity of the prehistoric models, some museums were also bothered by the "injuries" they had attached to their lifestyle.
