Kent Kiehl

Kent Kiehl is an American neuroscientist .

Kiehl received his PhD from the University of British Columbia in 2000 . He is a lecturer in psychology at the University of New Mexico .

In 2005, Kiehl received approval to invite criminals incarcerated in New Mexico prisons for a magnetic resonance imaging examination . He examined 1,200 inmates and found a reduction in the limbic system in around 300 of them . The feelings are processed in this region of the brain.
