Kentarō Sakai ( Japanese 栄 井 健 太郎 , Sakai Kentarō ; born May 19, 1975 in Fukuoka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Sakai learned to play soccer on the school team at Higashi Fukuoka High School and the university team at Kansai University . He signed his first contract in 1998 with Avispa Fukuoka . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club he completed 25 first division games. At the end of 1999 he ended his career as a football player.
