Core scrap

As solid scrap is called scrap which, in the demolition of buildings made of reinforced concrete is produced. This type of scrap consists essentially of steel girders and reinforcement bars . In particular, the reinforcing iron may have to be crushed with considerable effort before it can be recycled again by melting down during steel production .

In IT, core scrap refers to obsolete hardware that has often been assembled from old parts in a new computer.
