The T'aech'ŏn nuclear facility is a nuclear facility in T'aech'ŏn-gun ( North Korea ). Its construction was begun in the early 1990s and as part of the nuclear agreement of 1994 between the United States abandoned and North Korea.

A 200 MW Magnox-type reactor was planned . This is a gas-cooled, graphite-moderated reactor. Because of its low power density, it is only used for the production of plutonium . The first reactor of this type was Calder Hall 1 , where the plutonium for the British atomic bombs was extracted.

There are reports that work on the reactor has resumed, but the details are not known.
