Coordinates: 8 ° 40 '  S , 115 ° 10'  O Kerobokan is a city on the southwestern coast of the Indonesian island Bali .

It is located about 10 kilometers west of the capital Denpasar and north of the "westernized" tourist resorts of Seminyak , Legian and Kuta . It belongs to Badung Province .

Kerobokan is best known for the Kerobokan Prison , which also houses numerous foreigners, and the many rice field plantations .
