Kerstin Palm
Kerstin Ullasdotter Palm (born February 5, 1946 in Malmö ) is a former Swedish foil fencer . With seven participations in a row, Palm (along with three other athletes) is the athlete with the most participations in the Olympic Games .
Palm began her career at the age of 18 years at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo . Four years later, at the 1968 Games in Mexico City , she achieved fifth place, her best placement in her Olympic participations. In 1988, at the age of 42, she took part in the games in Seoul for the seventh time in a row and reached 29th place. In the course of her Olympic career, she competed in more than 100 individual fights and made it to the final round twice, placing her 5th and reached 6.
In 2005, 2007 and 2009 Palm won the World Seniors Championships in foil.
