A boiler house is a building in which a steam boiler and its furnace are installed.

In industrial systems, the boiler house is usually located in the immediate vicinity of the machine house , where the heat engines driven by the steam generated, such as steam engines or steam turbines, are located. Steam for district heating can also be provided in a boiler house . The architectural feature of an old boiler house is at least one glazed side front, so that in the event of a deflagration from the boiler or the furnace, not the entire building is destroyed, but only the associated window panes.
