Khaled Hanafy

Khaled Hanafy is the chairman of the council of imams and scholars in Germany . He is also the dean of the European Institute for Human Sciences in Germany (EIHW). Previously, he was a lecturer in Usul al-Fiqh at the Azhar University in Cairo , which is considered one of the largest and most influential Islamic universities in the world. Khaled Hanafy wrote his dissertation in Usul Alfiqh and in particular in Fiqh by Omar ibn Chattab . Here he showed in over 700 pages how Omar ibn Chattab had used the ijtihad at that time.

According to the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution in Saxony , Hanafy is not only active as a consultant for the IGD , which is assigned to the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) , but also exercises other managerial functions in organizations that are assigned to the MB or IGD, for example in the “ Council of Imams and scholars in Germany “e. V. (RIGD) and for the "European Institute for Human Sciences".

He is Deputy Secretary General in the European Council on Fatwa and Research (ECFR) based in Dublin .
