Khalid Almishri

Khalid Ammar Almishri ( Arabic خالد عمار المشري, DMG Ḫālid ʿAmmār al-Mišrī , * 1967 in Zawiya ) is a Libyan politician .

On April 8, 2018, he was elected the new President of the High Council of State and won this position against ex-President Abdurraman Sewehli with 64 votes to 45.

Because of his economic background, he has been preoccupied with financial issues and economic reforms since his appointment as chairman of the Finance Committee of the General National Congress.

controversy

Some observers of Libyan political affairs accuse Almashri of being a politician belonging to the notorious Muslim Brotherhood group, while others believe that the Islamic group is splitting and he is now a new trend in the scene and political and economic reforms and national Promotes reconciliation.
