Khoshaba (also Khawshaba , Arabic خوشابا, Kurmanji Xoşaba, or more frequently Xoshaba , Xaoshaba , Xaushaba , Xawshaba ) is a jesidisches village in the north of Iraq . The village is located about 20 km southeast of the Assyrian city ​​of Alqosh and about 9 km northeast of the Assyrian city of Telskuf in the Tel Kaif district in the Ninawa governorate . The place is located in the Nineveh Plain and is one of the disputed areas of Northern Iraq . The residents of the place are exclusively Yazidis .
