Tel Kaif (also Til Kaif , Tel Kayf , Tel Keyf , Tel Kef or Tel Keppe , Syrian ܬܠ ܟܐܦܐ) is a region and a district in the northeast of Ninawa , which in turn lies in the northwest of Iraq , and is a main settlement area of ​​the Assyrians and Yazidis in Iraq. It borders on the regions of Sheikhān , al-Hamdaniya , Tal Afar , Mosul and, in the north, on the Autonomous Region of Kurdistan , on the Dahuk region . The district forms with the districts Al-Hamdaniya and Schaichān, the Nineveh plain .
