Kian Egan (* 29. April 1980 in Sligo , Ireland as Kian John Francis Egan ) is an Irish pop singer and was until 2012 a member of the boy band Westlife .

biography

Egan grew up in a family of nine in Sligo in the northwest of the Republic of Ireland. In addition to his parents Patricia and Kevin, his family also included his brothers Gavin, Tom and Colm and his sisters Vivienne, Fenella and Marielle.

He is known as the singer of the group Westlife , to which he - like most of his bandmates - came as a member of the previous group IOYOU . For the band he wrote the songs Don't Let Me Go and When You Come Around, among others . He also plays instruments such as piano and guitar inside and outside the band .

In 2013, he participated in the 13th season of the British television show I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! part which he won.

He has been married to Jodi Albert since May 2009 and lives with her and their three sons in Strandhill, near Sligo.
