Mark Feehily (* 28. May 1980 in Sligo , Ireland as Marcus Michael Patrick Feehily ) is an Irish pop singer. He was part of the boy band Westlife until 2012, when the group was dissolved .

biography

Mark Feehily was born in May 1980 to Marie and Oliver Feehily. He has two brothers.

Feehily was a member of IOU and is a founding member of Westlife. In the band he is considered shy and averse to dancing.

Feehily's great role models are his parents and Michael Jackson . Nevertheless, his first self-bought CD Uptown Girl by Billy Joel , a song that he in 2001 as a cover during the charity organization Comic Relief released as a single.

In August 2005, Mark Feehily publicly acknowledged his homosexuality and announced that he had had a relationship with Kevin McDaid, a former singer with boy band V , since early 2005 .

In 2015 he made his debut album as a solo singer with the album Fire . The album landed at number 2 in the Irish charts.
