The kicker statue is a sculpture by the sculptor Josef Tabachnyk in front of the newly designed building of the kicker sports magazine on Badstrasse in Nuremberg , depicting a soccer player performing a fall kick . The statue was unveiled on May 22nd, 2014 in the presence of Toni Schnell (managing director of Olympia-Verlag ), Josef Tabachnyk and numerous employees of the kicker sports magazine.

The green granite symbolizes a soccer field, the k is the logo of the Kicker magazine . After overcoming the earth's gravity, the dynamic figure of a soccer player The overhead kicker floats in the air.

The dimensions of the statue are 320 × 200 × 140 cm.

According to Josef Tabachnyk, the ball at the tip of the foot rises above everything “as a symbol of the sporting spirit, the passion for the beauty of the game, the love of millions for this sport”.
