Kid Ramos (* 13. January 1959 in Fullerton , California ; actually David Ramos ) is an American blues rock - guitarist , who primarily as a member of the Fabulous Thunderbirds became known.

At the age of eight, the son of two opera singers was given an electric guitar with an amplifier . As a teenager, Ramos appeared occasionally in public. In 1980 he joined James Harman's backing band , with whom he stayed until 1988. From then on he played sporadically with Roomful of Blues , but otherwise withdrew from the music scene and worked as a water delivery man for the next seven years.

In 1994 he founded the Big Rhythm Combo with Lynwood Slim . In addition, his solo debut Two Hands One Heart came out in 1995 . In the same year, Ramos received an offer from Kim Wilson to become a guitarist with the Fabulous Thunderbirds. Ramos accepted and made his debut with the T-Birds on Roll the Dice . In addition, he continued to regularly release solo albums.
