Kieshiechi is a motu of the Rongelap Atoll of the Pacific republic of the Marshall Islands .
geography
Kieshiechi is located on the eastern arm of the atoll. The reef crown runs from the southernmost point at the eponymous Rongelap to the north and initially turns to the east at Kieshiechi. It is very narrow at this point, as is the case with the neighboring islands of Mellu and Gogan to the east . This means that there are several passages to the lagoon within a short distance: Northeast Pass (Hokuto), Gogan Pass (Chiyorugan Passage) and Enybarbar Pass (Enibarubaru Passage), which separates Kieshiechi from the neighboring Enybarbar to the west . The island is uninhabited and has been contaminated with nuclear power since the Bravo bomb was tested for nuclear weapons .
