Kikstart 2

Kikstart 2 is a motorcycle trial game that was developed in 1987 by the game company Mr. Chip Software for the Commodore 64 and the Amiga . The game allows head-to-head races on a horizontally split screen. It is the sequel to Kikstart: Off-Road Simulator released in 1985 and has been ported to many popular platforms.

The aim of the game is to navigate a trial motorcycle over a course with various obstacles. Different ramps, gates and fences have to be overcome. There are tires and hedges on the course, these are to be jumped over at maximum speed, other traps are pools of mud, these slow down the driver.

In the game it is possible to choose a set of 5 courses from 24 courses, or you can let the computer select the 5 courses at random.

The game was released for the following systems: Amiga , Amstrad CPC (1988), Commodore 128 and ZX Spectrum (1988)

Trivia

An improved version has been released for the Commodore 128, it is one of the few game titles that have been released for the native 128 mode.
