Peter Gall (* 1983 in Bad Aibling ) is a German jazz musician ( drums , composition ).

Live and act

Gall, the younger brother of the pianist Chris Gall , completed his diploma studies at the Berlin University of the Arts ; he also studied at the Manhattan School of Music up to a master’s degree . He studied drums with John Riley and John Hollenbeck and composition with Phil Markowitz , Dave Liebman and Jim McNeely .

Gall initially belonged to the Bavarian State Youth Jazz Orchestra and from 2004 to 2006 to the Federal Jazz Orchestra under Peter Herbolzheimer . He has been a member of Subtone since 2005 ; He toured internationally with this band, performed at Jazz Baltica and recorded four albums by 2014. He performed in his brother's trio at the Montreux Jazz Festival . He was also a member of the Munich Uptown Orchestra and the bands of Anna Maria Sturm , Roman Ott, Gabriel Rios and Jasmin Tabatabai . He has also performed with Thomas Zoller , Nils Landgren , Seamus Blake , Thomas Quasthoff , Kim Sanders , Ben Street , Fabian Almazan , Pablo Held , Linda Oh and Peter Fessler . He can also be heard on albums by Frankzone , Roman Ott / Kurt Rosenwinkel , Torsten Goods , Rainer Böhm , Johannes Enders and Sebastian Böhlen . Since 2017 he has been playing in the band Web Web with Roberto Di Gioia , Tony Lakatos and Christian von Kaphengst .
