ACT is a German jazz - record label . It was founded as ACT Music & Vision in 1992 in Hamburg by Siegfried Loch . The head office has been in Munich since 2003 .
By its 20th anniversary in 2012, the label had released around 350 CD productions.
Musician
One focus of the label is European jazz; Among the signed artists are the trombonist Nils Landgren and the early deceased pianist Esbjörn Svensson with his trio, the singers Viktoria Tolstoy and Rigmor Gustafsson , the bassist Lars Danielsson and the guitarist Ulf Wakenius . The jazz musicians from Germany on the label include Heinz Sauer , Joachim Kühn , Christof Lauer , Wolfgang Haffner , Michael Wollny (winner of the ECHO Jazz 2010 as best national instrumentalist - piano / keyboards), Matthias Schriefl .
