Laika Records
Laika Records is an independent recording company in Bremen , which specializes in the release of CDs for jazz , world music and folk music.
In 1989 the record label and the music publisher of the same name were founded by the guitarist Ulli Bögershausen . In 1996 he handed both over to Peter Cronemeyer so that he could concentrate on his music.
The Laika Records catalog includes productions by jazz musicians such as Deborah Henson-Conant , Richie Beirach / Gregor Hübner , Wayne Darling , Silvia Droste , Frank Wunsch , Norbert Scholly , Steffen Weber and Christof Sänger as well as recordings by the Danish Klezmer Trio and the Ensemble DRAj , the Swedish New Tango Orchestra , the Ensemble Barbad and the quintet Paaz by the Iranian singer Maryam Akhondy .
