The D-shaped early church enclosure Kilfountain (or Kilfountan , Irish Cill Fhiontain ; - German  Fintan's Church ) is northeast of the R559 (road) about three kilometers northwest of Dingle on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry in Ireland .

Kilfountain is typical of this type of enclosure in southwest Ireland. Inside the wall are the remains of a rectangular building and an oratory made of dry stone , as well as a porthole .

The square is known for its slim, club-like cross-slab , which has a Greek cross in a circle and a Chi-Rho symbol underneath . The Chi-Rho cross is formed from the first two characters of the Greek word for Christ . In Ogham script , the name of the alleged founder of Kilfountain, St. Fintan is inscribed in the margin.
