Kinki kids

Kinki Kids is a popular Japanese pop group that is particularly popular in Asia. It consists of Dōmoto Tsuyoshi (堂 本 剛), born on April 10, 1979, and Dōmoto Kōichi (堂 本 光 一), born on January 1, 1979.

Career

Kinki Kids made their debut in 1997 with their single "Glass no Shōnen" , which took them to number one on the Oricon charts for a few weeks . They're also in the Guinness Book of Records for most top-ranked singles, thirty by 2010.

However, they are not only known as singers in the land of the rising sun, but also appear again and again as actors in doramas . They also have their own show on Japanese television - Dōmoto Kyōdai (The Dōmoto Brothers).

However, despite having the same surname, they are not related to each other. The kinki in the band's name stands for the region they come from, which is the area around Osaka .

Like many other Japanese boy bands, Kinki Kids belong to the organization Johnny & Associates , which promotes male artists.
