Kinebar
A kinebar (Greek: κίνησις [kínesis] = "movement" and English: bar = "ingot") is a gold bar that contains a kinegram on the back to guarantee the authenticity of the bar . It is a proprietary technology to protect against counterfeiting of banknotes , metal bars , passports , visas and identity cards . The so-called Kinebars are manufactured by the Argor-Heraeus mint .
history
The Argor-Heraeus mint has minted kinebars with a fineness of 99.99 percent since 1994 . The different sizes from one gram to one ounce are manufactured and offered both under their own name and on behalf of third parties.
design
Kinebars hardly differ from normal gold bars on their front. In addition to the manufacturer's information, this also includes the fineness of the bar and its weight. A serial number is also stamped on it. Significant differences to classic gold bars, however, can be found on the back, which is provided with the unique kinegram.

Fakes
Fake Kinebars have appeared that simulate a hologram. The hologram was reproduced on a foil that was glued onto the bar.
