Kingsley Castle

Kingsley Castle , also known as Castle Cob , is a decayed medieval castle in the village of Kingsley in the English administrative division of Cheshire West and Chester . It is considered a Scheduled Monument .

The mound is frustoconical , 2.8 meters high, 23 meters in diameter at the base and one 6 meters at the top. It is man-made and consists of black earth.

Historians initially considered the mound of the moth to be a large barrow . The stone steps and concrete foundations of a summer house are from a later time. The latter are not part of the Scheduled Monument. So far there have been only limited excavations.
