Cheshire West and Chester is a unitary authority with borough status in the county of Cheshire in England . The administrative seat is the city of Chester .
Cheshire West and Chester was formed on April 1, 2009 through the merger of the three districts Chester , Ellesmere Port and Neston and Vale Royal . At the same time, the County Council ( County Council ) of Cheshire was repealed and its powers, as far as they concern the area of Cheshire West and Chester, transferred to the Council of Cheshire West and Chester ( Cheshire West and Chester Council ). Since then, Cheshire has been divided into the four Unitary Authorities Cheshire East , Cheshire West and Chester, Warrington and Halton .
