Wiltshire is a Unitary Authority in the county of Wiltshire in England . The administrative seat is the city of Trowbridge .
The Unitary Authority Wiltshire was formed on April 1, 2009 from the non-metropolitan County Wiltshire . At the same time the four districts of Kennet , North Wiltshire , Salisbury and West Wiltshire were dissolved and their competencies were transferred to the Wiltshire Council . Since then, the ceremonial county of Wiltshire has consisted of the Unitary Authorities Wiltshire and Swindon .
