North East Lincolnshire is an administrative county in the form of a unitary authority in the region of Yorkshire and the Humber in the north east of England. It borders North Lincolnshire and the East and West Lindsey districts of Lincolnshire .

North East Lincolnshire was created in 1996 as a result of the dissolution of the only from 1974 to 1996 existing county of Humberside and included the former districts of Great Grimsby and Cleethorpes. For ceremonial reasons only, the administratively independent North East Lincolnshire belongs to the county of Lincolnshire.

structure

At the local level, North East Lincolnshire is subdivided into the city of Grimsby (with Cleethorpes ) and 21 parishes ( Civil parish ), but not all of them have a parish council (Town, Parish or Village Council).
