Cheshire East is a unitary authority with borough status in the county of Cheshire in England . The administrative seat is in Sandbach .
Cheshire East was formed on April 1, 2009 by the merger of the three districts Congleton , Crewe and Nantwich and Macclesfield . At the same time, the County Council ( County Council ) of Cheshire was repealed and its powers, as far as they concern the area of Cheshire East, transferred to the Council of Cheshire East ( Cheshire East Council ). Since then, Cheshire has been divided into the four Unitary Authorities Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester , Warrington and Halton .
