Kaposvár small area
The small area Kaposvár ( Hungarian Kaposvári kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Somogy County in southern Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform at the beginning of 2013, all 54 localities were transferred to the subsequent Kaposvár district (in Hungarian: Kaposvári járás ).
At the end of 2012, 97,040 people lived in the small area of Kaposvár on an area of 1,041.14 km². In terms of area it took the top position in the county and with 93 inhabitants / km² it had the second highest population density after the small area Siófok .
The administrative seat was in the county capital Kaposvár (65,337 Ew.). Igal (1.286 Ew.) Also had city rights.
