Kink FM was a Dutch radio broadcaster for alternative music . The music channel goes back to RTL Radio , which was founded in 1992 . In 1995 the station was renamed Kink FM and taken over by the operator "Vereniging Veronica". On June 29, 2011 it was announced that the station would finally cease broadcasting on October 1, 2011. This then happened at 6:00 a.m. As a result, the radio station "Pinguin Radio" was launched by some former Kink FM employees. For the time being, this can only be heard on the Internet on the former stream of Kink FM.

The station was relaunched on February 1, 2019. The new Kink (now without FM) can no longer only be heard as a web stream and in cable networks, but for the first time can also be broadcast terrestrially, not via FM, but nationwide via DAB + on channel 11C. On the homepage, the name of which was not changed, a countdown was running until then.

Pinguin Radio will also continue to exist as web radio as before.
