Tipper cards
Tipper cards are fortune telling cards .
A Kipper card game consists of 36 numbered cards, each of which depicts a person or an event. Typical of the Kipper cards are the many person cards that represent people from the person asking the question, or also character traits or everyday situations in which he himself finds himself.
history
In 1890 the kipper cards appeared for the first time at the stationery dealer and later publisher Matthias Seidlein in Munich with an instruction booklet and the name cards of the famous fortune teller Mrs. Kipper . They are still available today in their original design and their images, names and meanings show great parallels to the so-called Gypsy cards , but are not identical to them. In 1900 and 1910 new editions came onto the market, also by Matthias Seidlein, this time with the inscription Drawn and published by F. Kipper .
In 1920 the rights to the cards went to the FX Schmid company . Due to a technical error during the takeover, the pictures (with the exception of No. 22. Military Person ) have since been displayed reversed. For several years there has been a complete re-illustration of the cards, which has turned the wrong sides again. However, many card readers prefer to work with the originals, which have been sold by ASS Altenburger since 2000 . Since 2006 there is also the Mystic Kipper , another newly designed deck of cards.
