Church council

In Christian churches, the church council is a governing body at the local level, in individual cases also at the federal level:

  • the asset management council ( Consilium a rebus oeconomicis ) of a parish in numerous German dioceses, as provided for by Roman Catholic church law , see Parish Administration Council
  • the governing body of a parish in several Protestant regional churches and in Old Catholic churches, see parish leadership
  • Church Council (Evangelical Methodist Church) , the executive committee of the Central Conference Germany of the Evangelical Methodist Church
