Church supplementary pension fund

A church supplementary pension fund (KZVK) is a supplementary pension fund for the church.

In Germany, five church supplementary pension funds share the task of providing an additional company pension for employees of the Church, Diakonie and Caritas under private law. The church supplementary pension funds do not compete with each other.

The five church supplementary pension funds are:

The year 2014 ended with total assets of 22.58 billion euros; this contained an actuarially calculated deficit of 5.5 billion euros. In 2015, the fixed assets of the cash registers fell by around 8.2 percent (from 17 billion euros to around 15.6 billion euros).
