Evangelical supplementary pension fund

The Evangelische Zusatzversorgungskasse , abbreviation EZVK, (formerly Kirchliche Zusatzversorgungskasse Darmstadt - KZVK for short) is one of three additional pension funds of the Protestant churches in Germany.

purpose

Under supplementary pension means the company pension in addition to the statutory pension scheme for all non-tenured employees of church and diaconal ministry. It includes old-age, disability and survivors' benefits. The EZVK provides this supplementary pension on behalf of employers in church and diakonia : on the one hand as compulsory insurance, on the other hand as voluntary insurance.

History and legal form

The EZVK was established in 1967 by the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau and the Evangelical Church of the Palatinate , based in Darmstadt . a. the United Methodist Church in Germany, the EKD , the UEK and the VELKD are affiliated. It is an institution under public law and is subject to the insurance supervision of the State of Hesse (and not, like other providers of company pension schemes, the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority ). The EZVK works closely with the other supplementary pension funds and is a member of the Working Group on Municipal and Church Pensions (AKA).
