The church tower in Dimbach , a district of Bretzfeld in Hohenlohekreis in northern Baden-Württemberg , is the remnant of a St. Sebastian's church, first mentioned in the 16th century.

history

Dimbach belonged to Waldbach from time immemorial and was reformed like this in 1534 . A chapel or church was first mentioned in Dimbach in 1562 and was dedicated to St. Sebastian . The sacred building formed the center of the eastern settlement of Dimbach, which consists of two settlement cores separated by the stream of the same name. In 1839 the nave of the church was torn down and a new school and town hall built in its place. The church's choir tower, built on a square floor plan, with its Gothic tracery window was profaned and was retained as a bell tower. An old bell dates from 1748.
