Churchless V.
Kirellos V (* 1831 in Tezment , Bani Suwaif Governorate , Egypt ; † August 7, 1927 ) was the 112th Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark ( Coptic Church ).
Ordained a deacon in 1843 and a priest in 1851, he was introduced as patriarch on November 1, 1874. He established the theological school in 1894. He often attended classes, spoke in discussions, examined students, and supervised their practical training. In his day, Coptic schools were established in villages and towns, which were often the only schools in many places. Despite his old age, he went on a pastoral journey through all of Upper Egypt and Sudan .
